It sounds like your friend is experiencing trouble due to the need to switch from Legacy BIOS (with CSM) to UEFI mode. This is necessary for enabling Secure Boot, which is required to play VALORANT on Windows 11. Here’s what your friend can do:
1. Backup Data: Ensure that all important data is backed up, as changing BIOS settings can sometimes cause data loss.
2. Convert MBR to GPT: The system needs to be converted from MBR to GPT. Windows has a tool called MBR2GPT that can do this safely. Follow the official Microsoft guide here: Use MBR2GPT.
3. Enable UEFI and Secure Boot: After converting, reboot and enter BIOS/UEFI settings. Switch from Legacy BIOS to UEFI mode and enable Secure Boot. Be cautious and follow your motherboard’s manual for the exact steps.
If these steps feel too complex or risky, consult with a professional or someone experienced in BIOS settings.
