इसके होने से क्या फाइदा होगा, what is increasing the stability by doing that?

the +I effect?

yes sir i mean the only difference i can say would be the value for Inductive effect (though i would expect the difference to be very small). due to reference with position of the methyl grp

The 1,2 shift we study won't be in play here because a significant increase in stability requires it to occur 2-3 times without even increasing much stability (Just the inductive effect). I think 1,4 shift should work here which I'm not really well versed with but have heard of it.

Yeah! 1,2 shifts can happen any number of times, provided each new structure we get is more stable than the previous one!

Yes but here the stability doesn't increase much on significant shifts (The initial ones) So I think 1,4 shift should be more relevant here.

Yup

I said I'm not really well versed with that I've just heard about it And shifts are kind of just thermodynamically feasible and mostly single transition state based reactions So there's no outright mechanism to them
