Mac Upgrade
Hello,
I would like to upgrade macs and I currently have 2 options:
Option 1:
A 2021 M1 Max Macbook Pro 16" with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD for £1549 refurb.
or
Option 2:
A 2023 M3 Macbook Air 15" with 24GB RAM and 512GB SSD for £1599 new
Which one should I get if I am upgrading from a 2020 Macbook Air (8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) for Web Dev and Java?

If you need dual monitors, I'd get the M3. The M1 has a limit of one monitor.
I use two displays but I have my laptop display as one and then one external one so it shouldn’t matter
I currently have a Macbook Pro 14" I got for graduation. And I love it!
What if you trade in or sell your 2020 mba ? would this add up on the amount u can spend on a new one ?
Regarding the multiple screens. think around 5y in the future of what u might need.
Definitely M3. Just upgraded from the MacBook M1 Air to the MacBook Air M3 this year, and it was well worth it!
