sunshine unable to find Display or encoder during startup
I just installed bazzite and sunshine worked flawlessly. Then ** updated and now I get the following Errors:
Fatal: You must run [sudo setcap cap_sys_admin+p $(readlink -f $(which sunshine))] for KMS display capture to work!
Fatal: Unable to find display or encoder during startup.
Fatal: Please check that a display is connected and powered on.
I used the ujust setup-sunshine command
Can anyone help me?

systemctl status sunshine-workaround.service
i suspect it might be that service that is the issue and should be fixed in the next buildGitHub

+1 on this issue, I’m seeing it as well. confirmed, that service status is “failed”. looking forward to the fix - how often do these updates tend to roll out? I’m brand new to bazzite, as of today 😅
the fix mentioned above is already out and have been for a bit,
usually we push updates automatically every tuesday and thursday but we might also issue manual builds which can be on any day.
currently the issue is that mesa broke sunshine 🙃 nothing we can do but wait for upstream to fix
oh nooo, worst timing for me to jump on and try bazzite, I use sunshine a lot 😅 hope it can be fixed soon.
(for my education a lil bit, where is mesa in the pipeline? looks like it’s a graphics library but I’m not sure I understand who uses it where in this stack)
you can use an older image, give me a moment i will try find one with working sunshine as i believe i had a working ver on my legion go (pray i havent updated and replaced it)
40-stable-20240609 has working sunshine and mesa combo, there might be a later version but i know 20240615 will not work

yeah newest build still has broken mesa 😦
keep in mind you do not get system updates while rebased to a date tagged image. so you can pin it and try rebasing to
stable again at a later date
it will be fine staying on an old image for a while, heck my htpc is still on F39 because gamescope hates polaris cards atmit works, thanks! yeah I’ll stick with this image until it’s confirmed resolved. honestly kick-ass that it’s so easy to roll back to an old image, this is selling me on bazzite haha
got 90 days of images to go back to (if we were to make one every day)
