VAN 185 typically indicates a network issue or problem with the connection to the game servers. Here are some steps you can try to resolve it: 1. Disable VPN: Since using a VPN creates higher ping, it's best to play without it if possible. 2. Reset Network Settings: - Open Command Prompt as Administrator. - Run these commands one by one:
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset

netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset

Restart your computer afterwards. 3. Firewall Settings: Ensure VALORANT and Riot Client are allowed through your firewall. - Follow the instructions here: Firewall Settings 4. Reinstall Vanguard: If issues persist, try reinstalling Riot Vanguard. - Uninstall Vanguard via Control Panel. - Restart your computer. - Launch VALORANT to reinstall Vanguard. 5. ISP Issues: Contact your Internet Service Provider to check if there are any underlying connectivity issues. If this doesn't resolve the issue, consider submitting a ticket to Riot Support for more targeted troubleshooting.
