To pursue a professional career in VALORANT, you'll need to understand the competitive ecosystem that Riot has established. Here are the general steps and events:
1. Premier: Competing in Premier tournaments can help you get noticed. Perform well to open doors to higher-level competitions.
2. Open Qualifiers: These are open to all teams and allow you to qualify for regional events. Performing well here can help you enter the Challengers stage.
3. Challengers: This is a regional league where teams compete in a series of tournaments. Top teams from each Challenger stage qualify for the next level.
4. Challengers Playoffs: The top teams from regional Challengers events compete here. Successful teams progress to Ascension.
5. Ascension: Teams that excel in Challengers Playoffs compete in Ascension, a major step towards becoming professional.
6. International Leagues: Top teams from Ascension compete in international leagues featuring teams from various regions.
7. Masters and Champions: These are the highest tiers. Teams play in Masters events to earn circuit points, leading to the year-end Champions tournament, the pinnacle of VALORANT esports.
In each of these stages, performance matters. Consistently high placement gets you noticed by top teams and organizations. Network within the scene, stay disciplined in practice, and keep an eye out for opportunities.
More detailed information and announcements can often be found on the official Riot Games VALORANT Esports page.
