High CPU latency can be caused by several factors even if you haven't updated anything. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. Restart Your System: Sometimes a simple restart can solve latency issues.
2. Close Background Applications: Ensure no background applications are consuming high CPU usage. Use Task Manager to check and close unnecessary applications. 3. Update Drivers: - GPU: Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date. You can use NVIDIA GeForce Experience for your GTX 1650 Ti. - CPU: Sometimes updating your chipset drivers can help. 4. Game Settings: Lowering in-game graphics settings might help, even though your hardware is capable. 5. Scan for Malware: Run a full system scan to ensure no malware is causing high CPU usage. 6. Vanguard Issues: There could be issues with Riot Vanguard. Try restarting both VALORANT and the Riot Client. If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall Riot Vanguard. 7. Temperature Check: Ensure your CPU and GPU are not overheating which can throttle performance. Clean any dust in your system and consider reapplying thermal paste if necessary. If these steps don’t resolve the issue, you might want to reach out to Riot Support for further assistance.
