The VAN-79 error usually points to issues with network connectivity. Here are a few steps to troubleshoot this problem: 1. Restart Your Game and Computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve the issue. 2. Check Server Status: Visit the VALORANT Server Status page. Sometimes, outages or maintenance can cause connection issues. 3. Check Your Internet Connection: Ensure your network is stable. You can try rebooting your router or switching to a wired connection if you're on Wi-Fi. 4. Allow VALORANT Through Your Firewall: Your firewall might be blocking the game. You can find more details on how to configure your firewall here. (https://support-valorant.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/360048522893-Your-Firewall-VS-VALORANT) 5. Update Network Drivers: Make sure your network drivers are up to date. 6. Reset Network Settings: Run the following commands in Command Prompt (Admin):
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset

netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset

If none of these steps work, you might want to reach out to Riot Games support for further assistance.
