Steam detecting ROG Ally hardware controller as DualSense controller
How do I change the way bazzite steam identifies my ROG Ally controller? The mismatched glyphs are throwing me off in certain games and I’ve ran into weird issues where my back triggers detect as touchpad inputs. Is there a way to change this to an xbox controller?
For context, I’m running bazzite for ally.

That is intended behavior, you can change the controller to an Xbox controller in HHD's config, but you will lose gyro. The other option is to use the theme to change the glyphs which we link to in our readme
I see. If you don’t mind me asking, how would I go about changing the controller to identify as xbox? I’m not too familiar with steamos or linux yet. This is my first experience with both.
Either install the hhd-decky plugin, or use handheld daemon in desktop mode
Hold what's detected as the quick access menu button and press y (so qam+y)
Or press the qam button I believe 3 or 5 times.
It will open the hhd overlay where you can change the settings
