Yocto in Windows Subsystem for Linux on Microchip Discovery

Hi! Have anyone tried yocto build in Windows Subsystem for Linux(WSLv2)? The yocto documentation says it's compatible but not verified. I was able to create a build for MPFS_DISCO_KIT but don't see it booting up... Is it that if the image is created, it means it worked on WSL or can it end up creating an incomplete linux image? @MCU, MPU & Firmware

I'm going to move this into a forum and ask Microchip.

Yeah, well. I asked this in their GitHub https://github.com/polarfire-soc/meta-polarfire-soc-yocto-bsp/issues/56 Seems the reference design project works with what they suggest. I got to try with my custom yocto build.

Yes - I have build Yocto systems in WSL2. The 'fun' part however is writing the SD Card image, as WSL2 cannot access a USB SD Card reader. In theory if you create a wic image, then you could use Balana Etcher to write the image. (My workaround was just to copy the files to a Linux system and dd them - but that's cheating 😋)
