The VAN9001 error indicates that Vanguard requires TPM version 2.0 to be enabled on your Windows 11 machine. You can follow these steps to enable TPM 2.0:
1. Enter BIOS/UEFI Settings:
- Restart your computer and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings. You usually do this by pressing a key such as
Del
, F2
, F10
, or Esc
during startup. The specific key will vary by manufacturer.
2. Find TPM Settings:
- Once in BIOS/UEFI, look for the TPM settings. These are often found under the "Security" or "Advanced" sections. The setting name could be "TPM", "PTT", or "fTPM".
3. Enable TPM:
- Ensure that TPM is set to enabled. If you see options like "PTT" (Platform Trust Technology) or "AMD fTPM", enable them as applicable to your processor (Intel or AMD).
4. Save and Exit:
- Save your changes and exit BIOS/UEFI. This is usually done by selecting "Save and Exit" or pressing F10
.
5. Verify in Windows:
- Boot into Windows and press Win + R
, then type tpm.msc
and press Enter. Ensure that the TPM is enabled and ready.
