Sudden drops in FPS can be frustrating, even if they're still high. Here are a few steps you can try to diagnose and potentially fix the issue:
1. Power Settings: Ensure your computer is set to high-performance mode.
2. Background Programs: Check for any background processes that might be consuming resources. Use Task Manager to identify and close them.
3. Overheating: Ensure your system isn’t overheating. Clean your PC of dust and ensure proper airflow.
4. Graphics Settings: Lower some of the in-game graphics settings to see if it improves FPS.
5. Game Mode: Enable Game Mode in Windows settings.
6. VSync: Ensure VSync is disabled in-game and in your GPU control panel.
7. Monitor Refresh Rate: Check that your monitor’s refresh rate is set correctly in display settings.
If none of these steps help, there might be a deeper issue with your hardware or software configuration. Check for forums or community discussions for others who might have experienced similar issues.
