I deduced that velocity is horizontal when the projectile is at max height for normal projectile motion
Therefore is considered it a case of normal projectile motion with an angle of theta+beta
Found ymax and x which is R/2
Used eqn of trajectory and now getting theta+beta=45
This is striking normally
I've done this part
wdym by striking horizontally then?

Pls point out my error
I solved with another method but I need the answer in tan

i got the same value
I got $$\theta=arctan(\frac{sin2\beta}{2})$$

@hardcoreisdead
This is from physics galaxy

I believe this is wrong
Instead of 4 there should be 2 rest same
yea i found an online solution which has 2
the book most probably has a printing error
