Valorant "launches" but has a weird time

basically everytime i click on play in the riot client, the game launches and uses like up to 500-600MB of memory but then stops for some reason and goes to like 20MB of memory I tried to wait for like 10 minutes but its still at 20MB of memory. As well as CPU and disk usage occasionally spikes. Might be interesting to note that when I used to play valorant like a year ago at this point it had very few to 0 issues. I also have reinstalled both riot client and valorant once just to make sure it wasnt the install

It sounds like VALORANT is having trouble launching correctly. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue: 1. Update your GPU drivers: Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date. 2. Run as Administrator: Right-click the Riot Client and select "Run as administrator." 3. Check for Windows Updates: Make sure your operating system is fully updated. 4. Disable Background Applications: Close any unnecessary background apps that might be interfering. 5. Allow through Firewall: Make sure VALORANT is allowed through your firewall. Refer to the firewall guide for more details. 6. Reinstall VALORANT and Riot Vanguard: Uninstall and then reinstall both VALORANT and Riot Vanguard to ensure there are no corrupted files. 7. Check System Requirements: Make sure your system meets the minimum requirements to run VALORANT. If these steps don't resolve the issue, you may want to submit a ticket to Riot Support for further assistance.
