Rails hitbox being anywhere except on the rails (second post about this)

Welp, happened again, but this time it's not like the rail hitbox is a few blocks off, but more like 30 blocks off (see picture, taken with a freecam mod, you can see me on the right selecting the rails on the left) I'm using some mods and the version 1.6.3 of steam and rails with the Create mod version 0.5.1.f Idk what is causing that bug but if i can actualy have some help it would be nice, please ping me if you say anything, thx ^^

Try the half method Backup your world and remove mods that could affect breaking or smth Until it works Is this a big modpack? A mod list may help Or modpack name

Welp, last time i noticed this pretty annoying bug, i did that and ended up with only steam and rails and having the issue :/, i can retry it if you want but i doubt another issue Okay, so after a painfull debuging session, i found the issue, and it's not caused (directly) by a mod it's caused by the presence of a VS sky ship in less that 20 blocks of the rail, somehow it's disturbing the rails, making them behave weirdly to the point the hitbox is like 40 blocks away.

That might be contributing to the problem Nah you're alright, I lack the knowledge to troubleshoot an issue on this scale, I usually just deal with crash logs lol Just theorising about potential causes or solutions, ie. if you didnt have clockwork I'd suggest trying it out to see if it helps

the weirder, it's not like the hitbox was somehow pushed, but more like all of rails hitbox in a certain radius where pulled to a spot where there is nothing it's a custom mess XD

potentially code going 'originate here, move elsewhere' and failing to move elsewhere since the ship would need to keep track of block positions via custom means, that may very well contribute

welp, idk, at least i know why it's happening, just don't understand what kind of interraction can to that XD there is no tracks on the ship, it's on normal ground

Yeah, but the ship's probably accounting for the area around itself too To validate where it can & can't move to And something with that might be causing the hitbox locations of the rails to crap out If you move the ship, does the rail hitbox point also move?

welp, the area is pretty close of the actual ship size, and even by rotating the ship on itself, i wasn't able to get close of the rails nah, it's just having the ship in a radius i had to park it far away and also it dosen't seems to affect straight rails, only curved ones

very strange only curved? that might explain it since they need to have custom collision logic too iirc

could be wrong, but instead of the trains going 'follow rails', i think it goes 'go from point A to point B, on the same arc as the rails follow when rendered'

makes more sense to reduce server impact and would also not be affected by changes to curved rails since the logic would effectively be handled by the straight ones on either end
