Valorant keeps Freezing my WHOLE PC
Whenever I open/close Valorant it freezes my whole PC, causing me to shut it off and power it back on. Also sometimes happens when I tab out of Valorant. Anyone else have this problem and/or know how to solve it?

Experiencing system freezes with Valorant can be frustrating. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:
1. Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure you have the latest graphics drivers installed from NVIDIA or AMD.
2. Check System Requirements: Make sure your system meets the minimum requirements for Valorant.
3. Close Background Applications: Some background apps can interfere with Valorant. Close unnecessary programs like Discord, Chrome, or other resource-heavy applications.
4. Adjust In-Game Settings: Lowering graphical settings in Valorant might help. Reduce settings like texture quality, or disable features like VSync.
5. Run as Administrator: Try running Valorant and the Riot Client as an administrator. Right-click the executable and select 'Run as administrator'.
6. Disable Overlays: Disable overlays from apps like Discord, GeForce Experience, or Windows Game Bar.
7. Check for Overheating: Ensure your PC isn’t overheating. Clean your fans and consider using monitoring software to check temperatures.
8. Reinstall Valorant and Vanguard: Uninstall Valorant and Riot Vanguard. Reboot your system, then reinstall.

Same!!!! I've been desperately trying to find a fix for it the past week
You had any luck?
Nope
You?
no literally I'm at a loss, I sent a ticket for valorant but haven't heard back yet. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling yet? I'm about to but don't want to bother if it does nothing
Did you find anything?
hello pls go task manager then performance and take ss
Turn off gpu hardware scheduleing
Hardware accelerated gpu scheduling
Hardware accelerated gpu scheduling boosts ur fps for certain games why would u turn it off
Cause it fixed my crashing?
idk I have it capped at 165 anyways
it reduces performance for games, it increases GPU usage for the OS, rather than games. Turning it off fixed my problem with valorant freezing and crashing my pc aswell
R u fr?
Should I turn it off on a 6600xt and a 5600 pc
And my laptop has a 5700u so should I leave it off on both my laptop and pc?
if u dont have issues i think itll be fine if u let it stay on
