This issue is often related to problems with the Riot Client dependencies. Here are some steps you can try to fix it:
1. Run as Administrator: Right-click on the Riot Client and select "Run as Administrator."
2. Disable Antivirus/Firewall: Temporarily disable your antivirus and firewall, as they might be blocking the update. Remember to enable them afterward.
3. Clear Update Cache:
- Go to
C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Local\Riot Games\Riot Client
.
- Delete the Riot Client
folder.
4. Reinstall Riot Client:
- Open Control Panel
-> Programs
-> Uninstall a program
.
- Find and uninstall "Riot Vanguard" and "Riot Client".
- Install them again from the VALORANT official site.
5. Check Disk Space: Make sure you have enough free space on your drive.
If the issue persists, please refer to the official Riot support page for further assistance: Riot Games Support.

Try disabling ur antivirus and firewall
And spam click the update button for a good minute or 2
All off
I do that before
But didn't update
Open task manager
Then details
Close evry valorant,riot client and vanguard related apps/services
Open control panel
Uninstall programs
Uninstall riot vanguard
Open cmd as admin and type these commands:-
1) sc delete vgc
2)sc delete vgk
Navigate to ur C drive then program files and find vanguard folder and delete it.
Then open riot client and click update
Restart ur pc after the update.
You mean Uninstall Valorant and vanguard But don't delete Riot Client?
And in this photo in task manager click on End task?
