Doubt in Q3 (Numerical based decimal type).
Can't seem to understand what the question is trying to say.

We need to choose 2 of those three shells to make a spectral line

Sorry I just edited the message. I have a doubt in the last question i.e. 3rd question of the numerical based decimal type part.
Second line of balmer series of li means n=4 to 2
Use the formula for energy for that she'll
shell
Now find the energy difference between those two shells (E=-13.6z²/n²)
Now that energy will knock out electron from first excited state of hydrogen atom which means here n=2
This energy will be absorbed from the energy difference you calculated for Li ion. Now the remaining energy will be it's kinetic energy
