Sizing Questions for Baggy Jeans

I’m someone who has pretty long legs, and am looking to get a pair of baggy jeans. Was looking into some Levi ones, specifically this pair: https://www.levi.com/US/en_US/clothing/men/jeans/loose/568-loose-straight-carpenter-mens-pants/p/558490044 However, the length only goes up to 34, and that’s typically too short for me. As a reference since I don’t have exact sizing measurements of my leg, I wear a size 32x36 on their 514 straight fit jeans, and that 36 length fits my leg pretty well to a point where it falls on my sneakers. So, the main question I have here is if a pair of 32x34 baggy jeans would fit me as they should because of them being baggy, or if them being considered baggy only affects the width and that a length of 34 would still be too short? Sorry if the question is a bit confusing, and am willing to clarify. Also, if anyone has any suggestions for baggy jeans for men with longer legs I would appreciate it!

Them being baggy won't make them longer unless they've got a longer rise. The "baggy" element of the cut is usually more room in the thigh, no taper, bigger leg opening. Ignoring that Levi's can be a bit inconsistent with their measurements, generally a 34 inseam is going to fit like a 34. (but I could be wrong here so someone please correct me if I am!)

thank you! is the length of a jean, for example a 34, the inseam length in inches? just measured using a measuring tape and 34 inches down as an inseam length was lightly touching the floor next to my foot, and 36 inches would easily touch the floor with some additional length as well that would be past my foot if floors didn’t exist lol definitely understand that it varies from brand to brand, but say I get a pair of baggy jeans with a length of 34, should I expect the pants to be nearly touching the floor (without shoes) as my measurement did?

Other than the inseam, the rise measurement is going to be the biggest determinant of the jean's total length. Generally it's Waist x Inseam on a tagged size, so 34x34 would be 34" waist with a 34" inseam. Their site has 514s at a pretty low rise, around 10", with the pair you linked over 12". If they've got a wider leg opening they're more likely to pool with extra length vs stacking above the show. I think they'd probably be a bit longer than the 514s, but honestly with Levi's it's honestly best to try and try them on if possible.

thanks a lot! definitely think I’ll have to just try on to see what fits me best also, is the total length of the jean the rise length added with the inseam? asking because as you mentioned the 514’s I have with a rise length of 10” and an inseam of 36” would be 46” total, but the pair I linked with a rise of 12” has a max inseam of 34” so that total would also be 46” for the length… so should I expect them to be about the same total length? again, will def try on before committing to a pair, and I appreciate the advice!

that should roughly be the outseam (total length) of the jean I think? but im sure back rise factors into it as well. not 100% sure on that one
