Xbox One Windows Dongle support
I have the Xbox Windows Dongle for connecting my Elite Series 2 controller. This doesn't work on Bazzite, although I feel like it should. The controller simply keeps blinking, unable to pair. Xone seems to think it should work... But it does not. The firmware on the controller is up to date.
It won't pair to my motherboard using Bluetooth, but I suspect that's a motherboard issue. I could get a Bluetooth dongle but I read I might lose rumble.
Does anyone know if Bazzite is supposed to support the dongle? If not, is there a way I can layer something on to make it?

I know this works for me in F39, dongle and elite 2 controller. Reboot after installation. Note that there is a specific order when pairing Xbox controller to the dongle. Turn on controller, press and hold button on dongle, hold pair button on controller. I had instances where it didn't work the first time.

You may need to install Xone: https://github.com/medusalix/xone

i got an xbox elite series 2 controller specifically to test this (i do not use it myself), pairs fine for me with bluetooth.
we use a modified xone so that it works with xpadneo, but it removes support for i believe xbox one as that is incompatible with the other drivers that cover for xbox one controllers (think i got that correctly)
i do not own a windows dongle though, never needed it
Thanks both! Turns out it was the pairing order as xone is delivered in Bazzite, which I had not at all considered. I feel like a very silly goose!
glad it works then
