If you're having trouble uninstalling VALORANT or the Riot Client, try the following steps:
1. Use the Control Panel:
- Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
- Find VALORANT and the Riot Client, then click 'Uninstall'.
2. Check the Installation Folder:
- Navigate to the installation folders (usually in
C:\Riot Games\
).
- Delete any remaining VALORANT or Riot Client folders manually.
3. Clean Up Using a Third-Party Uninstaller:
- Consider using trusted third-party uninstallers like Revo Uninstaller or IObit Uninstaller to remove any leftover files and registry entries.
4. Registry Cleanup:
- Open Regedit
(Windows + R, then type regedit
and press Enter).
- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Riot Games
and delete any related entries.
- Be cautious while making changes in the registry.
5. Reboot Your PC:
- Sometimes, a simple restart can help clear out lingering issues after manual uninstallation steps.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, you can check out the Riot Games support articles for more detailed instructions or submit a ticket for further assistance: Riot Games Support.
