High ping can be frustrating! Here are a few steps to help reduce it:
1. Check Background Applications: Close any unnecessary applications consuming your bandwidth (e.g., streaming services, downloads).
2. Wired Connection: If you're on Wi-Fi, try using a wired Ethernet connection for more stable performance.
3. Router Reboot: Reboot your router to clear any potential issues.
4. Update Network Drivers: Ensure your network drivers are up to date.
5. Firewall Settings: Allow VALORANT through your firewall. You can find detailed instructions here.
6. VPN: If you are using a VPN, try disabling it.
7. Network Command Prompt:
- Open Command Prompt as Admin
- Run the following commands:
8. ISP Issues: Contact your Internet Service Provider to check for any issues on their end.
If the issue persists after trying these steps, you might want to contact Riot Support for more personalized assistance: https://support-valorant.riotgames.com/hc/en-us

wireless
that might be the problem
i used my ethernet yesterday and it did not help
hmmmmm
i fixed it
nvm
how you did that? cause i have the same problem but my ping was like 1000/1500 and used to be 5/15
i did not fix it my issue still exists
try this
1. Search "Control Panel" and click into "Network and Internet"
2. Open "Network and Sharing Center"
3. In the left pane, click "Change adapter settings"
4. Right-click the connection for which you want to disable IPv6, and select Properties.
5. Uncheck "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)" and click "OK"

how did you fix it?
Are you in that region?
@math
no
i restarted the rodome which i thought i did already
nope again the ping came back
What should i do know
Have you set a dns server
Can you also try using a different device
To see if its just your pc
i tried changing dns server and it did not help
Are you also having problems with your phone or any other devices on your network
nope only my pc
I have the same problem as him, that problem it's just with valorant, with others games I don't have that problem
A lot of peaople have this issue with ping for example when I go to shooting range and spawn bots I have 2k ping, normally I have 13
This error has been around for 2 patches
I have internet issues only in valorant with 300mb internet connection on cable
Some my friends have this issue too
I think this is problem with servers, maybe too weak or something
probably thats the problem, ik a guy from Spain and Brazil with that problem so this problem isnt in just US or UK
Yea but riot do nothing with this, sad
