Game is defaulting to 800p, Steam settings don’t help
I am trying to play Megaton Musashi W on my ROG Ally but it’s defaulting to 800p resolution. There are no other resolutions available in game options. Setting 1080p or Native in Steam doesn’t help. The game is Steam Deck verified. I was able to select other resolutions just fine back on Windows.
Is there any other way to force proper resolution through Proton or Steam?

i suspect the game is looking specifically if it runs on a steamdeck since it ignores the gamescope resolution (from what you are saying) and adjusts acordingly to that. this is covered in the documentation...

Steam Deck images have it disabled due to causing issues with MangoHud. It will be added back when these issues are resolved. You will have to rebase to the Unstable branch. More information can be found here.
