I totally struggle with summer dressing as well. This summer I'm really feeling breezy linen button up shirts short sleeve camp collar button up shirts. Usually with some pleated shorts in neutral colors. Uniqlo is definitely a great place to start for some of these basics
A lot of people swear by Polo Ralph Lauren Andrew shorts which can be picked up on eBay for pretty cheap
Linen. Lots of linen. Lots of secondhand PRL linen: pants, shorts, shirts.
My 3 top summer shoes: canvas sneakers, sandals, loafers
A couple of light colored tees and tank tops.
A chore coat in case the temp drops into the 60s. Or an OCBD that you wear unbuttoned and maybe roll the sleeves.

I'm a big fan of JCrew Baird McNutt linen
mostly the long sleeves with them rolled up, not the short sleeves
any sale on them is a good sale. they only do it like 3 or 4 times a year for them
the trendy thing for this summer is italian summer
but like call me by your name style
if you can pull off the versace print from like 2018 yea sure
but to be safe avoid it like the plague
or go one step further join me in burning this versace like print
