It sounds like you’re dealing with a frustrating issue. Several things could be causing a black screen when entering a match. Here are some steps you can try: 1. Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure your GPU drivers are up-to-date. You can do this via NVIDIA GeForce Experience, AMD Radeon Software, or your GPU manufacturer's website. 2. Reset In-Game Settings: Launch VALORANT and reset your graphics settings to default. 3. Check for Background Applications: Programs that heavily utilize GPU/CPU can cause conflicts. Close any unnecessary applications before starting VALORANT. 4. Disable Fullscreen Optimization: Go to the VALORANT executable file, right-click, go to properties, navigate to compatibility, and check “Disable fullscreen optimizations.” 5. Verify Game Files: Use the Riot Client to verify your game files. Open the client, go to settings, and look for an option to verify or repair VALORANT. 6. Allow Through Firewall: Ensure VALORANT is allowed through your firewall. Instructions can be found here. If the issue persists, it might be beneficial to submit a support ticket for deeper assistance.
