It sounds like launching VALORANT is causing your screen resolution to change, which in turn is messing up your desktop icons. Here's a potential solution to resolve this issue:
1. Check In-Game Resolution Settings:
- Open VALORANT.
- Go to Settings > Video > Resolution.
- Make sure the resolution matches your desktop's native resolution.
2. Adjust Windows Display Settings:
- Right-click on your desktop and select Display settings.
- Ensure your display resolution matches the in-game resolution you set in VALORANT.
3. Run VALORANT in Windowed/Borderless Mode:
- Instead of Fullscreen, try switching to Windowed Fullscreen or Borderless mode in VALORANT settings. This can sometimes prevent resolution changes.
4. Update Graphics Drivers:
- Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date. Visit your GPU manufacturer’s website (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) for the latest drivers.
5. Disable DPI Scaling:
- Right-click VALORANT shortcut > Properties > Compatibility tab.
- Check "Disable fullscreen optimizations".
- Click Change high DPI settings and check "Override high DPI scaling behavior", set to Application.
These steps should help maintain your desktop's resolution and prevent your icons from rearranging.
