Seems correct to me What's the problem?

As x belongs to R put x=5 in Inequality it doesn't satisfy the inequality

Nevermind I mixed the sign up 💀 You're supposed to use the region that satisfies both conditions here, which is x= [2,4]

So while solving modulus inequality I noticed that in some cases we take union of results of all cases while in some case we take intersection of results of all cases. Why though ?
ri?reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
so case 1, you already considered x is greater than or equal to 3 and then you got the set of all real numbers that are less than or ual to 4 but since x should also be greater than 3, the values of x that satisfy the inequality according to case 1 should lie between 3 and 4 {[3,4]} similarly in case 2, you already considered x to be less than 3 and then got the set of all real numbers greater than or equal to 2 so the values of x satisfying the inequality according to case 2 are [2,3)

oh so now if we take union the answer will come [2,4]

bro clearly x is less than equal to 4 but greater than equal to 2 , how does x belong to R?
Abhi
AbhiOP•8mo ago
I took union of case 1 and 2 don't know why thought its my confusion

lmaodedXD•8mo ago
true, take intersection, not union @Abhi
ri?reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
yeah
lmaodedXD
lmaodedXD•8mo ago
jaha bhi AND aaye that means intersection OR matlab union
diamond
diamond•8mo ago
No. Union hi lena hai Bhai ne regions properly define nahi kare
PINGUIN
PINGUIN•8mo ago
T_T intersection?
lmaodedXD
lmaodedXD•8mo ago
arey bhai mod kholne par 2 cases bante na dono ko satisfy karne ke liye wo values of x loge na jo common ho intersection hi lena padega wtf 😭 am i saying dumb things?

no

When x ≥ 3 fir correct region should be x= [3,4] When x<3 correct region should be x = [2,3] Take union of both you get [2,4]

AbhiOP•8mo ago
@lmaodedXD try to take intersection in this ques

intersection hii toh hoga , union kaise
lmaodedXD
lmaodedXD•8mo ago
arey haan tu last mein union keh rha, pehle 2 cases mein seperately toh intersection laga na x>3 AND x<4 so 3,4 x>2 AND x<3 so 2,3 uske baad union
diamond
diamond•8mo ago
Haa cases ke liye intersection Saare cases ke regions ka union Lena hai
