suggestions for suits in hot climated

I live in north georgia, it's hot 80% of the year. I recently lost a good bit of weight and have a little more to lose but won't change size much more. I'm down to 1 suit, navy, but it's very hot. I saw the twillory AIR suit but seems kinda pricy and I'm not sure about the quality. I'd love to get a black and a charcoal suit. Ideally nothing too pricy since I am an EMT and the pay isn't amazing lol...

having just done a quick google search twillory's price point already looks to be on the low end for a suit tbh look into spier and mckay perhaps

The last time I paid for a suit was in chorus my freshman year of college and it was $275 for a tux lol

yeah I wouldn't recommend buying a $275 suit haha unless you're getting it second hand

What’s your navy suit made out of?

All the suits I've ever owned came from Belk or JC Penny.

Linen or tropical wool is gonna be what you want for hot weather

Iirc it's a van heusen or haggar

Reason I ask is because your typical (good) suit is gonna be made of wool, so if you’re already feeling hot in a wool suit, that might limit your options to tropical or some kind of Linen/silk/wool blend Van Heusen..probably not wool lol Probably polyester

I have a linen blazer I got not long ago and it's not too bad. I still get fairly warm in it but nothing will be truly cool when it's 90⁰ and 80%+ humidity

just out of curiosity how often do you find yourself wearing suits in hot weather already

I live somewhere where it gets hot af in the summer, I don’t bother with tropical wool or linen blends because I know I won’t be outside for very long (It also limits my options) A good question to ask

Well, I avoid suits as much as possible for temperature reasons.

I'm just wondering if you really need both a black and charcoal suit rn
not K_LOBBERIN TIME
But dressing nicer than running errands or work uniform is at least 2-3x a month and 80⁰+ is probably 2/3 of the year

and could invest more into just one or the other

Dressing nicer but not necessarily a suit right?
artvandelayimporting
black suits are typically reserved for funerals/very formal events so I think you'll probably get more mileage out of a charcoal suit

$250 is a steal

Usually a suit would be appropriate but not required (hence avoiding them for temp reasons, doesn't help that I'm super hot natured)

So if you had more suits you’d wear them 2-3 times a month? These ought to be decently cooler than your current one

A tropical or linen/blend will cost you more unfortunately

Yeah that looks like it’d feel pretty hot

Is 48 regular just not an option on that website? I'm like in between a 46 and 48 regular jacket, but 34/30 or 36/30 pants are ideal...

ah shit that might be outside of their standard offerings

I'm near you. Stay away from anything polyester blend. Learn to let linen be your friend. Stay away from slim things that hug your body and adopt looser fitting clothes which moves air about When you look at "dress" clothes like trousers, hold the fabric up to the light. The more you can see through it the cooler it will be for airflow Try a wide brimmed hat if you're gonna be in the sun to create shade

For more casual, my whole wardrobe almost is from the wrangler/Lee outlet. The atg pants and their linen & atg button downs are very nice
