Thoughts on this Thrifted sports coat

First time thrifting and thought this may be interesting jacket. Picked it up for $10. Made in USA. Lambswool. It need button replaced and dry cleaned. Is it worth keeping or should I donate it? Is the pattern decent or will I look like a grandpa? lol

Looking like a grandpa is super hot on MFA right now The pattern is unusual, but I kinda dig it. Herringbone? Plaid? Why not both!? Put on some khaki chinos and and OCBD and :post: :fit:

how does it fit (post pics if need be)? i support dressing like a grandpa but depending on what other alterations are needed to get it to properly (or decently) fit, that $10 investment may quickly rise to where it's not worth the cost

Had to hold the jacket as the button is missing.

can you take a pic with your arms at your side? it looks too big at the shoulders but I'm not sure from your pose

yes, it's too big for you. and that's not fixable by a tailor

shoulder's a little big, yes it is theoretically possible to get it fixed along with the other alterations but a shoulder fix is almost certainly not worth the extra cost, especially if you can return it still

Ok. Appreciate the advise. I will donate it. It was fun playing dress up. None the less.

the vibe is good for what it's worth 👍 and thrifting is often luck-based, even for people experienced at it; you might strike gold the next time 🙂
