it's just a single alert sound now KDE always let you customize sounds for smaller bits and pieces which I liked and still do like

I think GNOME is the most polished DE around, but they are missing some technical features. KDE has all the features, but isn't very polished.

gnome literally refuses to provide options for certain things and then get mad when average joe software dev bullies them tfw blue collar dev has to pull in an entire library just to not deal with gnome bullshit

The fact editing dconf is still neccesary for even some quite basic settings is bonkers.
