weird thing but it feels like a step backwards in a way
i am going to KILL automod
Oh did they? Plasma literally just got them in plasma 6 lmfao
also the default setup out of the box IS a bit weird for desktop users
formerly known as clyde
it's just a single alert sound now
KDE always let you customize sounds for smaller bits and pieces
which I liked and still do like
Maybe they just made it more accessible because I never knew it was a thing before plasma 6
been around since KDE 3
probs earlier
I think GNOME is the most polished DE around, but they are missing some technical features. KDE has all the features, but isn't very polished.
gnome literally refuses to provide options for certain things and then get mad when average joe software dev bullies them
tfw blue collar dev has to pull in an entire library just to not deal with gnome bullshit
GNOME is polished, if you do stuff explicitly their way.

if you literally only care about gnome then gnome might as well be saints!
eh, I mean I use quite a few extensions and it's still a very polished experience
The fact editing dconf is still neccesary for even some quite basic settings is bonkers.
