[asus-nvidia] GNOME (X11) with Steam BPM Problem: Gamepad not switching to proper desktop mapping
When I am using BPM I simply can't emulate mouse and keyboard behavior with steam input, basically the gamepad still continues attached to the steam BPM client in the background as a regular gamepad mapping instead of focusing on the current active window.
However it works pressing the Chord button though.
When I use the regular steam desktop everything works out-of-the-box but I lose all steam overlay, which I don't want.

i strongly suspect this is a valve/steam issue since they expect you to be focused on BPM when steam is in that mode.
Perhaps, but it only happens with GNOME on X11, Not Wayland, or KDE.
Odd because i replicated the behavior on Wayland KDE, BPM always takes gamepad inputs even when not focused
Yes, I was actually wrong.
Since on wayland it requires this "remote desktop" access I by mistake believed it was working when it was actually not.
Well, don't know what to do in this case, can you tell if this happens on every other Linux distros?
This is the only missing thing for me to have the full console experience. Ç_Ç
I have mint on a dualboot, I'm gonna try it out afterwards.
