(x-1)²+4 has the least value as 4 and Max value as infinity As log base √2 is in increasing function (We know that the function, Log x base a is an increasing function, if a>1) So the least value would be for the least value of input [in the log function] So least value would be log 4 with base √2 That is-> 4 And maximum value obviously is infinity So range goes as [4,oo)

Again base is 4 so as 4>1 the function is increasing So we'll get least value for least input in the log function The least value of |x+1/x| =2 [hope you knew this by far] So the range goes, [1/2,oo)
