substitute them in the formula where m(2a+ (m-1)d)/n(2a+(n-1)d) = m^2/n^2 where i believe m and n can get cancelled. so 2a+ (m-1)d/2a+(n-1)d= m/n

cross multiply and I believe you will get 2an+ mnd-nd +2am+mnd -md where it then becomes 2an-2am= dn-dm which becomes 2a(n-m)= d(n-m) which gives ya 2a=d

sub this thing in the formula an = a+(n-1)d and you will get the ans ()since this is text it mught be hard to understand
