Used Alden loafers or Allen Edmonds factory seconds

I’m in the market for some brown/burgundy loafers and trying to get some used Alden’s on EBay however the pricing for them in my size are $20-$30 less than Allen Edmonds Factory seconds (Randolph’s). Couple things to consider, I am not sure what my width size is in Alden’s and the best that I can find are D width. The Randolph’s can be had in E width. Both can be returned but of course would need to pay shipping and restock fees. Are Aldens still the better option here? Are they that much better of a shoe? I don’t usually wear loafers so don’t have much experience with them however I do intend to change that. Thanks in advance.

aldens are a better shoe IF you're sure of your size and can find the right last AE seconds are a perfectly serviceable option if you're okay with the restocking costs

what kind of lasts on the alden shoes? For loafers sizing is pretty important, so could you visit a store and try them on and see what fits?

depending on where you live you can get your brannock size for AE (or even Alden, if you're near New York or DC for example) which may help

For me, on the van last for alden I'm 9E, but some of the other lasts like aberdeen just don't fit well regardless of if it's 9E, 9.5D, 9.5E, etc. so I was happy to check in store

They are marked as Alden x Brooks brothers and don’t list the last. The model is 6202 which I was not able to locate online. Getting to a store would take me a couple hours so trying to avoid that if possible.
