"A critical error has occurred and the process must be terminated"
So, I just started Riot Client and instead of Play there was an Update. I pressed that and now I can't start Valorant, it gives me black screen and the error message "a critical error has occurred and the process must be terminated". Also in the Client the little picture is now gone, lol. Any fix?

This helped me. You need to start the game and if the error comes up, dont close the game instead do what the guy said in this reddit

@Neo i tried this but it says unknown faulting module name, do u have any idea how to fix
@𓆩♱ sl𝑒𝑒py ♱𓆪 I had the same, you need to check all Errors, for me it was my VPN programm and it was a .dll file
So I just de-installed the VPN program
wym check all errors
If you're in the Event Manager right here, I had like 3-4 Errors, so I checked them all and one was different and said that a .dll File was the issue or something like that.
I google the .dll File and it told me the dll file belong to a software
The ther Erros was the same thing you had just "Faulting application name"
should i check the information too
i only checked the errors that had a red symbol
