i buggered the install

hey I installed the new integration but did it all in one go (installed the new one in hacs, then deleted the old regular integration, then the old hacs integration but it said that I didn't delete the old one even though I did) so now after installing the new one it won't let my pc connect to the mqtt in ha, saying failed. (but the agent does show up as connected) presumably the old one didn't get completely deleted? how do I do that manually? everything old is now gone in the UI

MQTT connection is something different from the integration I mean, integration needs MQTT connection but it cannot break it are there any HASS.Agent logs regarding the mqtt connection?

ohh. lifesaver. found it can you tell me what to look for? should at least spare you some of the hassle I can't handle this my whole house is messed up now, the pc handled everything. Can you just tell me what to delete pls? I wanna just go in the folder and manually delete everything on the HA side i mean it looks like the thing manages to phone home, still. but it is 100% via the old one, and not via the new one, seeing as it says failed to set up

I would have pasted them sure but there's my ha address plastered all over them wow, the old integration had one of my old pc's in the "ignored" section so I couldn't see it was still there in HA can you tell me how to give you what you asked ? I can't very well start finding all the references from the 1000 times this thing phoned HA and delete them manually just so I can paste the logs it seems I have managed. thank you for your patience ok, I don't know what I did but now I managed to add it using the new integration but it shows the old one too 😐 found anything of interest?

No so in homeassistant, click settings and then system and then logs That will open a logs tab, look for any warnings or errors related to Hass.agent

Thank you for your kind reply. I managed to get everything working. After the pic from above happened I went into the mqtt server and deleted the listening words from before Just one thing is amiss: the new media player integration does not update the title and picture of the media being played

Interesting I've seen it be out of sync one or two times but I blamed it on windows not properly reporting it Which browser is that?

it's firefox x64 yes that's what I thought too, about a month ago, and was gonna do a fresh install anyway so I didn't signal it, and now even with the fresh windows11 (was on 11 before too) and the new integration in HA it seems it still doing it
