Cloud Sync - "Something went wrong"
I have tried to set up Cloud sync with both Google cloud and Backblaze, and both have issues when I tried to sync. I get the same "Something went wrong" message.
Sometimes if I just keep inputting my bucket data, again and again and again, eventually it starts syncing, even though I get the error message every time, other times like now it will just not sync at all

Hmm anything get synced in the cloud storage
so in the end after 5+ minutes it started syncing, but I had to input my KeyID, application key and bucket name, multiple times. every time I get this pop up "something went wrong". Even when it eventually started to work.
This is not a new issue, it happened 6 months ago when I was using Google cloud, and now again with Backblaze.
I wanted to make you aware, if its some kind of website glitch, or to find out why it is happening. Do you know?
Like in the middle of syncing?
So some files already got synced?
Maybe put your pod ID here too
Last time have you reported it to runpod support?
no i mean that it happens whenever I input my cloud sync details.
Ohh maybe it isn't valid?
I didnt report it last time, i just gave up with cloud syncing
Wrong inputs probably
no no, it is working... thats the thing
Working?
i put my correct details, and it tells me error every time... but then it actually works, after i input them like 5 - 10 times
This time try to report to support, maybe they can help you figure that problem out
ok, I was going to, but the website suggested to come onto discord first, as report takes 1-2 days
Oh
want me to take a video to show you?
Hmm yeah make a support case first, I think i never experienced that and since no more logs or other details I can't predict what's the error
Sure
its just annoying, it does work eventually, but it wastes time and i have to keep entering my keyid, applicationkey, bucket name over and over
Yeah I feel you man
Also I don't know if this is a bug too, but the transfer speeds from cloud sync, tends starts off well, then it gets really bad, like down to 20kb/second. so it can load like 40gb in a few mins, then the last 1gb takes like 20 minutes, or just fails
Oh yeah maybe net problem on pods, I've ever experienced that even on my pc ( bad download server ) I don't know what else can cause that
Or maybe pods internet is bad
I tried to test with a new pod and screen record, and this time it worked without problems! Typical... I guess I will just need to put up with the annoyance 😅 thanks anyway
Haha how much data were you trying to transfer? Maybe it's too big
Im not sure yet just guessing
around 40gb
Oooh
