Desktop images for HTPC?
Does anyone know if it's possible to configure booting to gamemode session on desktop images? I'm currently using deck images for my htpc, but I need GDM too so I'm wondering if there's a way to get the best of both worlds?

I don't think you can boot directly into desktop mode but you should be able to exit game mode back into desktop mode if you using the deck images. Note that this isn't possible for Nvidia users (they only have desktop mode)
But i need the opposite. I'm currently on deck image, but I'd like to know if there's a way to switch to desktop image and configure it to boot into gamescope session by default?
I need a desktop image for GDM so I could use the remote login feature from gnome 46.
All I can think of is try it and see what happens, I'd pin your current image to be on the safe side
sudo ostree admin pin 0
use this if you are currently on gnome bazzite-rollback-helper rebase bazzite-gnome:stable
use this if you are currently on kde bazzite-rollback-helper rebase bazzite:stable
This will switch you to the desktop image. You should be able to switch back to the deck image by just booting your old image by mashing shift and selecting the deck imageI've already tried switching, but desktop images do not have gamescope-session package in the repos (unless bazzite names it differently).
