Hello. Have you? How much of chemical bonding have you done? And have you checked out this book called JD Lee? Lastly, I have done sessions on chemical bonding. I've explained how to make structures for all of these compounds. You can check that out as well. But first, like, give me an idea about what is it that you know your background about bonding.

just started off chemical bonding so only aware of central atoms , lone pairs and how to draw basic structures , i still need to do more of the chpater

make a lewis dot structure. If you didnt read it yet: take the central atom and mark all the valence e- around it. Then wrt to other other attaching atoms, check how many e- they req to bond and give that many e- to them from the central atom (e- is electron). eg: C= 4 valence e-. Cl needs 1 e- to bond and H needs 1 e- to bond. Thus for CHCl3, bop 1 e- each from C to H and 3 Cl atoms and you will have the structure Of course its better you reach VBT and VSEPR as they will explain structures, hybridisation, bonding angles and everything else in detail but you can use this as a shortcut/logical way

@iTeachChem sir what will i have to do to gain the ability to draw any structure just by seeing its formula

practice. and tbh you usually should have seen it before cos number of compounds are finite so it is not like math where hypothetical compounds will pop up 🙂
