no bootable device.
Hello, I've been trying to install bazzite for the first time on my laptop it was running windows 11 for a while and then pop os and now this. I tried multiple times using different methods such as ventoy and rufus and finally i decided to try it on a different laptop and it just works, I tried again using the same flash drive on my acer and got the same error again. Anyone encountered this issue before ?

rufus should have worked... do you use CSM?
I tried uefi and csm
rufus should have worked, you can always try fedora media writer
ventoy too
I tried all i could think of , at this point i think i have no choice but to go back to pop os
both screens are broken
did you eject the usb drive using the button on the pc?
Yea , the same drive works on an older laptop using a Pentium
you mean the second screen?
But doesn't on an i5 5000 series
something is wrong there
No both screens are from the same device
Here are the specs
Not sure if this will work but you could try install fedora silverblue/kinoite and then rebase to Bazzite.
I ll give it a go
Doesn't work, I even tried creating a new partition table via , parted magic to no avail. Any other ideas ?
Check if secure boot is disabled and that Boot mode is set to UEFI
If it doesn't let you turn off secure boot you might need to set a superviser password which I saw in this video

Yeah even though I'm pretty sure the iso supports secure boot
I tried with an without secure boot and yes uefi is set , i also tried to enroll the key at it is written in the intial setup documentation
i feel like your ISO is borked for some reason
like you did boot on the second screenshot, right?
I just tried to install the same setup on an other acer laptop with an i7 7th gen and worked fine
thats so weird?
Yea works on older and newer but not the i5 5th gen
Sooo weird
like i wonder if the error is with the installation itself or the way your bios handles /boot
Pop_OS! uses systemd-boot, a bootloader that only works on UEFI
fedora totally should work...........
If you have any ideas i d be happy to try it but it seems like compatibility issue in my opinion
can you like
hm.....
lemme see
Yea
How ?
try booting to the USB drive you used to install bazzite onto
Ok
and before getting to the anaconda screen try changing to a TTY (Ctr+ALT+2, 3 or 4 whatever)
i would like to see the output of the "dmesg" command on your hardware, i believe there is no sensitive information from that, but be advised i do not know if there is any
would you mind running that?
just like run
dmesg | fpaste
and send the output here (the URL from that)
i wonder if theres like any major errors happening or somethingI'm pretty new to linux I'm not sure i completely understand you , i can try anything but could we do it while on voice chat it would be much easier ?
oh sure!
going to vc
Ok
im here
