Domain registration
If i register a domain with cloudflare, is there anyway people can find information about who owns it, like public registry, who.is, etc?

depends on the tld/extension, and there's always some info visible:
https://developers.cloudflare.com/registrar/account-options/whois-redaction/
WHOIS redaction removes most contact information categorized as personal data (such as registrant name, email address, postal address) from the published WHOIS record for a domain. These fields will read Data Redacted. The nameserver, domain lock information, and date records for a domain are still available publicly. The following fields will continue to show in WHOIS, due to ICANN policy: Registrant state/province Registrant country
if i go for a
.uk
domain?Some country code TLDs like
.us
force all information to be visible, gotta be careful with them/avoid themok
uk should be fine
and that is a thing for all domains, not just cloudflare registered ones right?
for
.us
? yea, it's a policy of .us
ok thank you
UK doesn't even show country/state looks like
GDPR regulations have made providing additional information for registration of the .UK domains optional.Cloudflare has an rdap/lookup for their own domains here: https://rdap.cloudflare.com/ for example,
erisa.uk
is a uk registered domain with CF, can see that it doesn't show anythingawesome
