Stuck at installation
I already have windows installed since a long time, I want to try Bazzite, but the thing is, I get the ostree error during the installation.
I have a laptop, don't have the tools to remove my SSD while reinstalling windows to make sure it doesn't put anything on my secondary drive, how can I install Bazzite?

Turn off the SATA slot of your other drive in the bios
Turn it on after
I don't think I can do that on a laptop, I'll check it
I can't
What if I install Ubuntu, then wipe the windows drive and put Bazzite, then install windows
@antheas
Will it work?
You only have one ss
No
I said I have two
I have two drives
Implied but yes
Wipe the SSD you want to install bazzite on completely
Only select that one in the installer
Not implied, I literally said it
Press automatic
I can't it has efi partition
That's the problem
What efi
Not the windows one right?
The windows one
How can it have the windows one if windows is not installed there
I don't have another OS
Because that's how windows works
No?
When you install it it puts files on your other drives
I'm pretty sure it does not
It always did this with every single install I did in my life
And says the same online, that's why people tell to unplug
People unplug because they make unfortunate mistakes
Show me the boot options in your bios
They unplug to dodge this too
I only have two, windows boot loader and the usb stick
Yeah I want the full name of the windows boot loader
Because it will also say the drive
"windows boot loader"
Somewhere in there
That's literally what's written in the uefi
Windows works?
Boot manager norry
Sorry
Boot windows open the partition manager and take pictures
Yes it does
I literally told you how it was man
I want to see the efi partition on the second drive and it missing from the first drive
I have a drive, with nothing but that efi partition
What was there before?
Ok I guess
Games
Softwares
Another os maybe?
Please
Windows does not create random efi partitions
I only have windows
...
My pc is mystic then I guess
Thanks for trying to help though
It might be something else
I only have windows
Shipped by your hard drive manufacturer
Make sure the efi partition in windows is on the same drive as windows and wipe the other drive
But how can I do this
Si ce si dows puts the efi on the other drive
Ah one way is the bios it usually says the drive
The other one is in Linux doing efibootmgr
Windows not sure, bootctl?
I'm on a laptop, I can literally do nothing in the bios
I can only activate secure boot, and choose boot order
But if you show me the partition I will tell you what it is
...
Bro you have to tell me something else other than this
Now you have the picture picturing the things I literally said
That's too large that's weird
I have a new windows install
260mb
Seems like your windows install is using CSM and does not need an efi partition. When you boot do you see your manufacturer logo while windows boots?
Yes
Usually Linux efi partitions are 1gb
But anyway, if you follow the dual boot bazzite guide and do custom partitioning it will work
And you will keep your old efi partition
Just skip the parts about resizing
I will just re install windows on the biggest drive, it will be better, go back to 0
I'll wipe everything, install windows on the biggest drive, see if it creates an EFI partition again on the other drive
I don't understand how your situation happened never heard of it before
Maybe manufacturers lost the ball
