Ye r cos theta kaha se aagya?,sin theta kyu nhi Aya?
And usko (r vector * a vector/a) ke equal kese rakhdiya kyu rakhdiya???

recall the definition of dot product
r.a gives cos theta
that is dot product gives cos theta and cross product gives sin theta

How would i know that r cos theta is the component along a and not a cos theta?
cus it's component OF r vector ALONG a vector
had it been OF a vector ALONG r vector, we would've used a cos theta
