Can I make a custom field on a custom object unique?
Is it possible to enforce uniqueness on a custom field that I've added to an entirely custom object?

Not currently, it's something we have in mind for later. It should not be too hard to do. We plan to enable enforcing constraint on columns (uniqueness, indices, ...)
