intense input lag spikes (pc / gnome DE / KB+M inputs)

title sums it up mostly. i have random, intense input lag spikes playing different games. the mouse responds normally, but keyboard inputs are massively delayed, think 3-5 seconds. this persists for minutes at a time. during low stress situations it is fine, when only a few keystrokes happen now and then, like running straight forward in a shooter, but when it gets hectic it basically queues up all inputs and plays them back with a large delay. there is no discernible (to me) cause or situation when this happens, most of the time everything runs smoothly regardless of how much is going on. games i experienced this with: - helldivers 2 via steam - starcraft 2 via lutris/battle.net launcher
