What top to pair with semi-casual olive linen pants?
I have a pair of Banana Republic Factory olive linen blend pants (linked below). And Im not sure what kinds of clothing fits best to pair with them as a top. Short sleeve white linen button down? Long sleeve? The model image goes belt plus t shirt but I dont know if thats a bit lackluster.

all three options you've suggested (white s/s, white l/s, white t-shirt) would be suitable, either with or without belt and tucked or untucked
the questions are what is the occasion and how warm will it be
tan/beige and light blue are also good options
feel like you could really wear anything wiht them
they are extremely versatile pants dude
I appreciate the responses!
I guess I figured the air of casualness would make it clash with long sleeve button downs, but it sounds like that isnt the case based off yalls responses
noted. I tried some of my wardrobe with them and was kind of iffy, but maybe thats because i wasnt using much plain color stuff? otherwise I wouldnt really know what to say felt off about the pairings
you'd get the best of both worlds with a long sleeve button down - roll up the sleeves or undo a button to be casual, fully button up to be more formal
you can always make a thread in #styling-suggestions to try and work out that "not sure why this doesn't work" feeling
I appreciate the input and will do if im still having trouble
for this, should I stay on the side of more "casual" long sleeve button downs, like a summer linen shirt or basically things that arent normal dress shirts? or anything is game
it depends on your needs but most things are in play - linen is a more casual fabric than oxford (for example), however linen is also a more breathable fabric than oxford.
got it
