Same issue 10MB/s
Hey I suggest you to contact support on webchat
You too try the webchat support, they can help you further with the pods
is this "webchat" support?
they took 5days to answer last time
so i think im gonna find another solution
Yes yes
Oh well, try emails then
I'd be nice if Runpod proactively reported outages or degradation. Very clearly the network is slow for a large chunk of us in a certain data center. I submitted an email but 1-2 business days isn't great turnaround for this kind of stuff.
I am surprised they actually logged something in #🚨|incidents for a change. They have a status page and #🚨|incidents channel which don't get used mfor 99% of issues.
Seems they only bother when its a screw up of epic proportions that affects pretty much everyone.
I went ahead and reported it via email but this upload I need to finish is gonna take ~10 hours at this speed.
Real talk is this value just hard coded?
omg and this is secure cloud lol
Apprently those values are updated once a day or so.
so its not just a community cloud issue
In my experience, I get faster transfer speeds from community cloud than secure cloud.
SK region of community cloud usually has pretty decent internet.
questions is from where and how you transfer files
Oh you use cloudsync. Probably not best tool
wdym not the best tool
my issue is the 2 Mbps
there is no tool that can bypass a bad connection
another question is where you upload from
i upload from my pod to my dropbox
like drag and drop
kinda trying to understand situation better/ So I suspect you running Kasm desktop template?
yes
im still running your image
though screen shot shows like you use cloudsync? or you upload directly to dropbox page?
i tried both
both do have the same speed
Hmm I see would it be issue for you to fill ticket on website so I could escalate this to team?
If so provide all info like pod id etc
That would help us better track issue.
If you already have ticket you can share ticket id
@Νέμεσις let me know so I can help you.
the ticket id did not show up when i clicked "send"
Ok I have found your ticket.
Escalated
is there a way i can transfer a file from my runpod to my pc without being bothered by this 2 Mbps upload speed?
i guess not but im asking just in case
Nope
Is it really 2mbps
So far what I could tell is that there is some issues on SE region that affects other users. Enginiring team still look at the cause of this issue.
no its more 1.8 Mbps rn
my pod is indeed in SE region
Usually people report 2-4 mbps speeds
i report this speed too
Ye all has been reported to enginiring team so all we can do is waiting for them to find what is the cause
Hi! Are there regions that are not affected? My Pod is in US-OR-1 and even simple pip installation takes for ever.
waiting costs money on runpod
yeah, this did cost a work day's uptime
@Νέμεσις I noticed you have terminated the pod, were you be able to get data transfered or not much?
no
i just gave up
its been several days (since the problem appened)
im a very patient person
Ye and from what I see team is still focused on finding what caused it
hopefully they will find
but its not my problem anymore
i lost almost 30$ on this process
i think im done with runpod
@Νέμεσις check your email
Let me know if you got it
i did not receive any email
why the speed on SE server is so fluctuating?
@Elder Papa Madiator
Speeds in datacenters varies on the overall usage
You might wanna check on https://discord.com/channels/912829806415085598/1284829585547984936 too
SE server is awful for download speed, it seems throttled at 100Mbps, at least for downloads from huggingface
Same here, sometimes it will be giving 2000 then be down to 500, hard to find good ones.
but it shouldn't go this much down, I am using a secure cloud, yet getting pathetic speed
there isn't anything useful there.
Yep nothing but you can report the pod
Good for Runpod to have people wasting >1h of GPU time waiting for a slow download - the user is paying the same but not using a lot of power
well i have the same issues, upload speed is very slow on some pods
