Outlook Email Integration
Hello I just deployed an instance of Twenty using Render, and it was a super simple process. Worked wonderfully.
Is there an outlook integration ready / in the pipeline?
Edit: (update) I just saw the docs for this. Is there anyone who has successfully connected outlook? https://docs.twenty.com/start/self-hosting/#email

At the moment the email engine is only for gmail - an outlook version is planned (See https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/pull/4718 and https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/pull/5103)

I think there was some users discussing it in the #help channel. I don't remember if one has succeeded. It should be theoretically doable but I'm not sure how similar to Gmail the Outlook API are
Got it, thank you for the response guys. How far on the roadmap is outlook integration?

Thank you! is the roadmap public by any chance?
Can you already forward e-mails for filing to the app under a client and contact as a native feature or can you use a Make workflow with webhooks to accomplish this?

You address two different issues:
(1) Create contacts based on e-mails: Doubtful this is a sought-after demand. As the complete company and contact records cannot be completely filled from the content of an e-mail, I'm not seeing the point of using such functionality.
(2) Easily file incoming and outgoing e-mails under the company and contact: Such function is really the entire point of having an CRM application as e-mail in still the most important written communication channel in business and industry. A CRM application will need to ingest e-mail communication from any of the major e-mail infrastructures used by enterprises. As these number in the hundreds, a CRM application will usually also have its own ingest e-mail box to which users can forward e-mails for filing under companies and contacts.
Where do you currently stand regarding both of these issues?

(1) => we also enrich company information based on domain name
@Sticks I would love to know if you are building this?
I want to use twenty at the company where I work but Outlook integration is the main barrier
We moved on a different solution for our next CRM application. At this moment in time, developing a Microsoft Outlook integration ought be the sole priority of the entire current team of developers.
We are getting more mature on the Gmail integration. I think we are almost ready to support another driver if someone in the community wants to build it
That's awesome. thanks for the update @charles - if no one is working on this I would like to take it.
But I haven't contributed at all so it might take a bit to get familiar with the code
Is IMAP on the roadmap to support all email providers?
@pakkuv not at the moment but we are building the messaging piece in a way that several drivers (gmail, microsoft, imap) can be integrated either by the core team or by the community
Hello - Team are there any updates on the outlook integration?
Has anyone been able to integrate Outlook through Zapier?
This is a bit off topic but may be relevant, I'm an M365/Outlook user as well, and would love to see this as well.
I use a tool like Zapier, n8n.io (self-hosted) along with cal.com for bookings. On a new booking a webhook is sent to n8n and n8n checks to see if the email address of the booking is in Twenty and if not, creates a new contact for me.
Not sure if this is helpful but sharing 🙂
We are almost done making the email integration abstract enough to build it for outlook. We don't have the bandwidth to build it ourselves but an experienced dev from the community could build it in days I believe
Were you able to integrate outlook through zapier?
@charles @Félix is there a channel / place where I can post a bounty to build this out?
