looking for a leather messenger bag

I am currently using a backpack to carry my laptop, charger and some files/books and was hoping to upgrade it to something more fashionable. I was interested in a leather messenger bad something similar to this bag https://www.amazon.com/FRYE-Mens-Logan-Messenger-Cognac/dp/B006ZMPSXQ?tag=travelandleisure-onsite-prod-20&ascsubtag=5428442%7Cn9c943a0e23ca43f1a1dc885af53cbbc018%7CB006ZMPSXQ%7C1715193342125%7C&th=1&psc=1 I’m not sure how fashionable it is or there are better options out there. I would like to keep the price around $250-$300 is possible but can spend a little more if it’s an amazing product. lol My work is primarily smart casual wearing mostly Chinos and slacks. No ties. Thanks in advance to all who reply. Can anyone recommend a bag that is both useful and fashionable?

You’re not going to find a fashion bag in that price range unless it’s used. Would recommend prioritizing something that suits your carry needs that you like the look of. Cravar, Satchel & Page, and Blue de Chauffe make nice looking bags that can be found at that price range

Executive Leather Messenger bag from sfbags looks nice. I’ve used their laptop bags for years and love them. Quality work and materials, long lasting, good service. Made in SF. I like the look of the chocolate leather and the aged grizzly leather. I saw a really nice bag from Stefano Bemer, but that’s over 1K https://www.sfbags.com/collections/shoulder-messenger-bags/products/executive-leather-laptop-messenger

Thank you I will look into these brands. I can sacrifice some “fashionability” for functionality and have the bag look good. I can go a little over that price point however I don’t want to spend over $450-$500. This one looks promising. Will give it a good look. Do these bags ever go on sale? I am open to other options like waxed canvas bags if they are functional and look stylish.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a sale from them, sorry. But they’re quick to respond to queries about options and other buying choices. That leather version kinda tempts me

Sounds good, I’m assuming you’re not really a fan of the rugged ones?

I’m open to anything really. Do you have an example of one? I will definitely put this on my list to consider.

I haven’t personally tried their products, but I’ve heard Nutsac makes good messengers around that budget range. They’re definitely more rugged though compared to the more sleek, leather style bags in your pic. Unfortunately, I’m not really that knowledgeable on brands around this budget range that spaghetti hasn’t already mentioned
