anyone have a working method to get around recruiters always wanting to 'get on a call'. I want to skip that damn time wasting step. So annoying

@digitalnomad I always ask the recruiter to answer basic questions via email before I get on a call. If the recruiter refuses, I decline to move forward. You'll lose some interview this way, but the jobs were prolly shit anyways.

not a bad idea... what questions do you ask?

(1) Please confirm that this position is fully remote, indefinitely, with no travel. (2) The compensation range budgeted for this role. Please note that I will need a hard compensation range before continuing. (3) What does the entire end-to-end interview process look like? (4) Does this role involve "on-call" of any kind ? (5) Does this role require security clearance or public trust?

lol true story; I don't have an answer, without that call they seem to flake out always I mean I always get a job description and ask about the budget before I'd get on a call with someone, but still stuck with that damn call ugh

While most of those calls turn into nothing, I've actually gotten some offers from them. I also have an email template reply that I start with before calls and those are mainly to filter out low salary positions.
